How to Sign a Document in WESIGN

By WesignDoc • Updated Jan 2026

Signing a document in WESIGN is simple and secure. Whether you receive a signing request by email, scan a QR code, or are sent a direct signing link, WESIGN ensures a smooth signing experience on desktop or mobile.

Standard Signing Process (For Signers)

This is the most common way recipients sign documents in WESIGN.

  • When a sender shares a document for signing, the recipient receives an email notification at the email address provided by the sender.
  • Open the email from your inbox and click Review Document.
  • The document opens in a new browser tab. Accept the terms and conditions and click Continue.
  • Review the document and complete all assigned fields, such as signatures, initials, or required information.
  • Click Finish to complete the signing process.

Once finished, the document is securely saved and shared according to the sender’s settings.

Sign a Document Using a QR Code (For Signers)

WESIGN also supports signing documents using a QR code, making it convenient for mobile users.

  • If a QR code is included in the signing request, you can scan it using your mobile device.
  • The scanned code opens the document directly on your phone or tablet.
  • Review the document, complete the required fields, and sign digitally.

This method is especially useful when signing in person or when switching from desktop to mobile.

  • Go to the Sent section in your WESIGN account.
  • Locate the envelope and click on its subject name to open the details page.
  • Find the signer’s details and click Envelope Link.
  • The signing link is copied and can be shared via SMS, WhatsApp, or any messaging platform.

Folders are also available in the Templates section of WESIGNDOC. This allows you to store frequently used templates in an organized manner so they can be reused again and again without confusion.

Using template folders helps you:

  • From the same envelope details page, select the QR Code option.
  • Download the QR code image and share it with the signer.
  • The signer can scan the QR code to open and sign the document instantly.
